Who runs this site
writersid.com is the personal website of Sid Sharma. If you have a question about this policy or your data, email sid@writersid.com.
What is collected
This site does not ask you to sign up, log in, or fill in forms. It uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrived, their approximate location (country or city), and their device and browser type. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. It does not give me your name, email address, or anything that identifies you personally.
The AQ test
Your answers and scores stay in your browser. If you leave partway, they are saved on your own device so you can continue later. A finished result is also kept on your device until you start over or take the test again. PostHog, an analytics service, records only that the test was started, finished, or that a card was downloaded or shared, without cookies and without anything that identifies you.
If you email me, I keep your message and email address so I can reply. I do not add you to any list without asking.
Other services
Fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers. Like most websites, the hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and maintenance. The AQ test uses PostHog, hosted in the EU, for the analytics described above. Links to Substack, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, PhilPapers, SSRN, X, and GitHub take you to sites with their own privacy policies.
What I don't do
I don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for marketing. I don't run ads on this site.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Analytics data is kept for a limited period, no longer than 14 months. To ask about, correct, or delete any data relating to you, email sid@writersid.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below will change with it.
